The idea for the project originated in 1999. It came about as a result of a profound fascination with Georgian culture which both an American producer Jim Lowe? and a French director Pascal Jourdan came to feel in the course of their work in Tbilisi at that time. They decided to share with the Western world the wealth and the beauty of Georgian culture, as well as to demonstrate the impeccable mastery of Georgian dancers, singers and musicians. As it turned out, their decision was a stroke of genius.

The very first United States tour brought Georgian Legend staggering success. The hard-to-please American audience and critics were ecstatic.

The triumphant world tour lasted almost eight years - from 2001 to 2007. The United States, France, Germany, China, Russia, Switzerland, The Netherlands, Belgium, Hungary, Romania applauded Georgian Legend. Such fiery temperament and blazing energy had never been seen at the world stage. Over these years more than a million people have seen our show. Over 150,000 copies of DVDs were sold throughout the world. The single ‘SAMAIA ' - the song sharing the show 's title - sold 130,000 copes and became golden. The world press called the show "a phenomenon that everyone has to see at least once in one 's life" (Le Figaro).

The new show SAMAIA is a welcome guest in every country. We are known across the four continents. Every performance makes a real furor on the musical stage - there hasn 't been a single concert that didn 't receive a long standing ovation. SAMAIA could rival any renowned contemporary ballet show in the quality of drama, which has rightly secured for them a reputation of a sensational musical event.

The first version of the show, then called " The Legend of Tamar," tours in the United- States. American critics hail the production as :

The New York Time-"spectacular" -
The New York Post -"a feast of riches for eye and ear"-

GEORGIAN LEGEND debuts in Europe, with acclaimed performances in legendary Parisian venues such as:
-the Palais des Sports>
-the Palais des Congrès
-The Olympia

and a tour through France, Switzerland and Belgium in April 2002. With an audience of 150,000 and 100,000 CDs sold in few months, the success of Georgian Legend is only beginning.

The new show "Georgian Legends of the Storm" generates standing ovation performances in Russia, Ukraine, Georgia and China where they played the most renown venues such as the Kremlin Palace or the Beijing Mao Centre.

is composed by breathtaking Georgian artists -- men, women and children (between 8 and 11 years old) who collaborated with European musicians for a mixing of cultures and musical influences. They performed breathtaking jumps, saber fights, dizzying waltz, technical prowess, moving choirs, and stirring musical composition and conduction.
